How to start a program when windows starts -
Do you have a program that you start every time you start windows?
Right click start menu and click explore.
Expand the programs folder, then click on startup.
Anything you place in this folder will start when windows starts. It's best to create a shortcut and move the new shortcut.

I have used AVG server anti-virus for the past year. I finally traced my “nuisance” reboots to this software. Every time the software would update, the server would reboot itself after a few minutes. Needless to say I switched to CA and have had no problems at all. I've had to ditch my last year of service and take the loss. AVG has no information on their website about any such problem. Once, after installing an anti-virus update on this server (Windows server 2003) the entire OS became corrupted and I had to re-install. I have decided that AVG is not the product for me.

How do you change default language in Visual Studio 2005?
This uses the Import and Export Setting Wizard---
1. Choose Tools > Import and Export Settings
2. Select Reset All Settings and click Next
3. Select whether you would like to save the current settings and click Next
4. Select the settings you want to use and click Finish.

Like to keep the menu bar hidden in Internet Explorer 7? But need it part of the time. Simply hit the "alt" key to toggle between menu bar and none.

When upgrading some installations of Microsoft Office to Office 2007 certain problems can arise.
We had problems with Word shutting down after the upgrade.
It wouldn't!
To repair checkout this Microsoft article. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B921541
Download the "Guided Help" and run the EXE. This automatically repaired our installation and Word works perfect!!!!

Add information to the same document but get tired of scrolling down to the last item. Remember that CTRL+end will take you to the end of most documents.

While designed to conserve battery life, if your laptop screen dims when running on the battery it can be annoying at times. These setting can be changed in bios but an easier way on most laptops is to simply unplug the unit and then hold down the fn key and adjust your screen brightness using the appropriate key. The computer should remember the settings. When the charger is plugged in you can also set this brightness independently.
